Submission recap and progress update


Hey, Wyatt from the Spring The Monkey team here. We never made a devlog for the release of STM (whoops!), so take this submission recap / early update devlog compromise as a consolation.

The game jam went well! Not every idea for a game can be brought to life in as little as 3 days, but our team managed to pull it off! We had quite a few submissions to the game jam to compete with, but we did pretty well, placing at 36th in the rankings. That isn’t in the top 20 that move on to the next stage of voting, but that’s still something that we are proud of. The whole team appreciates everyone who checked out the game and everyone who ranked our game in the jam, it means a lot to us!

As for the future of the game, we had a lot of fun working on STM, and we plan on continuing to work on the game. We can’t guarantee any sophisticated work schedules or anything like that, especially with the school projects we have going on right now. We will share any updates on the game we can. Right now, our priorities are to polish up the game some more and add more levels. We have our level designer making some levels, and we have a better tutorial in the works. We’ll release updates on the levels and tutorials as we make something we can show off.

That’s all for now, just a quick recap and our plan for the future. We’ll make sure to give some kind of update when we have something to show off.
